As the title states, I am currently sick. My dad got sick first, spread it to my brother, and then to me. I blame it all on my brother though. He doesn't do a good job in covering his mouth when he coughs or he'll use the front of his shirt, which is obviously porous. Luckily, I only have a cough which has lasted a week so far. Hopefully it goes away soon because I'm flying down to San Diego next week to visit my boyfriend.
On a sort of related note, I'm super glad that it's raining right now. For those of you outside of California, we're supposed to experience a drought this year. So people and companies are trying to get everyone to reduce their water consumption. Unfortunately, that's kind of hard when you're sick. I'm constantly washing my hands, drinking a butt load of water and, because of the water I'm drinking, peeing like 15-20 times a day. I feel super bad about wasting all that water though, especially since I already tend to take long showers. Oh well, it's not like I can control being sick aside. Maybe it'll continue to raining heavily so that we won't actually experience a drought.
Side note: I wish Nutang had a save option for blog posts. That would be a super useful feature.

Happy Valentine's Day!
My boyfriend and I actually spent our first Valentine's Day together before we were even couple so this year is our 5th Valentine's. Unfortunately, we don't get to see each other because he's away for school. But we got to webcam last night so that was nice. He also sent me flowers and macarons while I sent him Moose Munch.
I spent most of the day either procrastinating or working on my DI internship applications. I finally completed them, which is a huge relief. I applied to 6 different programs which cost me almost $600. It was a bit ridiculous. My dad complained that I applied to so little and that I should have chosen around 20. Even though I've explained it to him before, he still doesn't understand that I can only get matched to 1 school. And if I get matched, I have to go. It's not like regular school programs where you could get accepted into multiple places and then chose which one you want. 8-10 is already pushing it. But whatever, it's over with.
Aside from that, the only thing I really did was help my mom cut steaks into heart shapes. They didn't hold their shape when she cooked them though, but now we know to try a different method next time.
How did you spend Valentine's Day?

Since my last post, I've already moved back home and rearranged most of my room. I only have one bookshelf though, so I had to get rid of a lot of my old books to make room for all my school stuff and scrapbooking supplies. I ended up selling my books to a store but it was a huge ripoff. I really regret selling my books. Especially since I've been watching bookshelf tours on Youtube which makes me want to have a huge book collection. Unfortunately, I just don't have the space for it. If I had the money, I would definitely dedicate an entire room or even a floor just for books.
Do you guys collect books?
Oh and I changed the colors to my blog after my last post. It's brighter and easier on the eyes. I didn't feel like changing my banner picture though because I really like that picture of Pichu.

One of my friends and I have been talking about getting carne asada fries together for the past month but we didn't have a chance to go until today. She's from SoCal and says that she gets pretty authentic carne asada fries. Up here in Davis, there aren't any good places to go for them. However, there is one in Sacramento that she really likes and prefers to the places that she goes to back home. I've only had carne asada fries once in a place in Davis that wasn't very good. I was hoping to have a better experience at the place in Sacramento so I was super excited to go.
The fries ended up being okay. They were very potatoey/starchy fries, whereas I like thinner and less starchy fries. I also had to get the guacamole on the side because of the onions. It made the fries dryer, though.
The location was kind of... questionable. Apparently right out of the freeway entrance, there was a guy who would come up and tap on your window. Luckily, the light was green for me so I didn't have to stop.
Other than that, it was nice to hang out with her. I'm moving back home soon so I'm trying to hang out with as many people as possible before I may never see them again.
