Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!

My boyfriend and I actually spent our first Valentine's Day together before we were even couple so this year is our 5th Valentine's. Unfortunately, we don't get to see each other because he's away for school. But we got to webcam last night so that was nice. He also sent me flowers and macarons while I sent him Moose Munch.

I spent most of the day either procrastinating or working on my DI internship applications. I finally completed them, which is a huge relief. I applied to 6 different programs which cost me almost $600. It was a bit ridiculous. My dad complained that I applied to so little and that I should have chosen around 20. Even though I've explained it to him before, he still doesn't understand that I can only get matched to 1 school. And if I get matched, I have to go. It's not like regular school programs where you could get accepted into multiple places and then chose which one you want. 8-10 is already pushing it. But whatever, it's over with.

Aside from that, the only thing I really did was help my mom cut steaks into heart shapes. They didn't hold their shape when she cooked them though, but now we know to try a different method next time.

How did you spend Valentine's Day?

I used the pizza dough recipe that came with the bread machine, but added some extra things (mainly herbs) for more flavor.

Even though you didn't get to physically spend Valentine's Day with your boyfriend, I hope you had a good one!

That's so nice that you guys keep up with each other, even though you're physically far away.

Also, how crazy is it that applications are capable of costing that much?!
